Inaugurated in 1969 on the Mont des Arts, the Royal Library of Belgium is the national scientific Library of the Belgian Federal State. It supervises a significant cultural heritage and hosts a few museums (chapel of Nassau, Palace of Charles de Lorraine, Museum of printing).
Located right in the city centre, half-way between the Grand-Place and the Royal Palace, the Royal Library of Belgium is lucky enough to have a direct rail link to the airport. The Gare Centrale/Centraal station (Central Railway Station) and the underground are directly opposite.
