Sunspot group Catania 65 (NOAA 0639) produced a B3.8 flare at 02:11 UT this morning. Past 24 hours geomagnetic conditions stayed quiet. C2/C3 images show the eruption of a partial halo CME on July 6 around 20:06 UT, but it again has been determined backwards. We expect quiet geomagnetic conditions for the rest of the UT day and tomorrow. A northern coronal hole extending to the equator could lead to unsetteled to active intervals on Friday 8 July.
