This has induced unsettled to active geomagnetic conditions with temporary minor storms recorded locally by ground magnetographs. This fast wind stream has now started to decay slowly. The geomagnetic field is thus expected to remain mostly active (Kp=4) over the next 24 hours. It will then become progessively quieter over the next 2 days (Kp=2-3). No more significant disturbance is expected from the Aug.5 CME: this slow event has certainly merged into the faster stream now influencing the Earth. The solar activity is low and only isolated C flares can still be expected from the remaining active regions on the solar disc.
