A recurrent coronal hole is presently moving into a potentially geoeffective position and the associated fast stream can be expected to raise activity levels to active or minor storm levels from early on Saturday. Solar activity is expected to remain low. Both the background X-ray and 10.7cm radio flux dropped since yesterday, although NOAA AR 0813 (Catania 48) has increased in complexity, area and number of spots. C-class event possible with a small chance of an isolated M-class event. Old NOAA AR 0808 appears to have lost most of its former complexity and has no visible sunspots.
