SOLAR FLARES  : Eruptive (C-class flares expected, probability >= 50%)
GEOMAGNETISM  : Quiet (A<20 and K<4)

COMMENT: NOAA active region 0897 (=Catania sunspot group 59) has
developed a beta-gamma configuration and is expected to produce
C-flares. A chance (<20%) for an isolated M-flare also exists. A second
active region (Cat sunspot group 60) has just crossed the solar East
limb and is also showing flaring activity. The solar wind has increased
up till -but stabilised at- 450 km/s. Geomagnetic conditions are
expected to remain quiet.
