The CME associated with the C6.3 flare yesterday was a full halo. However, it was strongly asymmetric with the bulk of material going towards the east. We thus do not expect any resulting geomagnetic disturbance. The low-latitude coronal hole in the southern hemisphere reached the central meridian. We expect the fast flow originating from this coronal hole to arrive to the Earth on January 28. A geomagnetic disturbance up to the minor storm level is possible. The Earth is currently inside the slow solar wind flow, so we do not expect any significant geomagnetic activity in the coming hours. TODAY'S ESTIMATED ISN : 008, BASED ON 04 STATIONS.
