It is expected that quiet conditions will prevail, with a small chance of C-class flares from NOAA AR 0940. NOAA AR 0941 has a very simple magnetic configuration and should not give noticeable flaring activity. The geomagnetic activity settled down during the last 24 hours. The Earth is still in the high speed stream coming from the southern coronal hole, with solar wind speeds of about 650km/s as measured by the ACE spacecraft. Quiet conditions are expected for the next 48 hours with some risk of isolated periods of unsettled conditions. TODAY'S ESTIMATED ISN : 022, BASED ON 08 STATIONS.
