This induced active geomagnetic conditions, but with a delay of about 1.5 day compared to previous solar rotations. As the source coronal hole did not change in E-W extent, we expect that the solar wind speed will already start to decline within the next 24 hours. The geomagnetic field will remain unsettled to active in the meantime, with possible minor storms mainly at high latitudes. Thereafter, it will return to quiet levels as the fast stream decays. The solar activity will remain very low, as it was already for a several days. TODAY'S ESTIMATED ISN : 011, BASED ON 08 STATIONS.
