COMMENT: No sunspot group is now visible on the solar disc. The solar
activity is thus quiet and is expected to remain so. The Earth is
currently inside the slow (around 310 km/s) solar wind flow with weak
(3-4 nT) interplanetary magnetic field magnitude. We expect quiet
geomagnetic conditions. A possible sector boundary crossing occurred on
January 23, so the solar wind speed is expected to rise.
