The NEMO consists of the image processing techniques sets specially developed for extracting the eruptive events from the EUV solar disk. These techniques are based on the general statistical properties and underlying physics of the eruptive on-disk events. The NEMO main feature is a rapid search in the large family of the coronal dimmings connected to CMEs. The NEMO high performance in the autonomous eruption detection according to the EIT data is achieved by the continuous algorithm training during 2004-2009 by the team of engineers and physicists.
The next step in the NEMO development is to readapt the software to work with EUV data from different space instruments. We start to readapt the NEMO-detector for the SECCHI/STEREO both spacecrafts data. The application period is the Whole Heliospheric Interval (WHI). The WHI is a coordinated effort to characterize the interconnected solar-heliospheric-planetary system during the Solar Minimum. The automatically detected eruptive events from the A and B SECCHI EUV imagers are presented in the catalog.
The NEMO-SECCHI autonomous detection effectiveness adapted to STEREO can be estimated by comparison of manual recognition of EIT waves with SECCHI, as presented in the enclosed presentation.
