A typical day for Professor David
The projected image of the Sun
Unfortunately the frequent belgian clouds sometimes play tricks to the astronomers. One must wait for the cloud to pass to be able to continue observing. Fortunately the equatorial table allows the telescope to follow the course of the Sun in the sky. Or, to be more precise, this table turns at the same speed but in the other direction than the Earth, which allows therefore to keep the Sun, once it is found, inside the circle of observation.
