A typical day for Professor David
The Telescope
Inside the dome, the telescope that is used (the middle one) is fixed with two other telescopes to an equatorial table. This table turns around two axes, to follow the relative movement of the Sun in the sky with respect to our position on Earth. The table can be manipulated manually or mechanically. This allows Professor David to properly point the telescope towards the spot of the sky that he aims for. The telescope is a refractor with an objective lense diameter of 150 mm and a focal length of 2400 mm.
